Welcome to Eton Porny Church of England First School
Eton Porny Church of England First School is a very unique mainstream school,
steeped in history starting with our founder Mark Anthony Porny in the 1800’s.
Eton Porny has been educating local children since 1812.
Our vision and aims are at the heart, and thread through, every aspect of school life and ethos as a Church of England School.
We are all created unique and special.
He made us all perfect having our own uniqueness.
1 Peter 4:10-11 'God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts.
Use them well to serve one another.'
- To create a fun, positive, caring and respectful environment, promoting the joy of learning
- To develop our pupils to the best of their ability, each with strong self-belief and all exceeding their potential.
- To develop our pupils’ confidence in themselves, promoting resilience in the face of challenge.
Eton Porny is a small, one form entry first school for children aged 4 to 9 years old at the heart of Eton High Street. The school actively welcomes the involvement of the local community, including parents through the PTA, our half termly Express Events, the Eton Community Association and has strong collaborative links with Eton College through the Outreach Director. We are an inclusive school and strive to provide the very best education and opportunities for all of our pupils to enable them to achieve a true reflection of their capabilities and support our children to be prepared for the next stage of their learning journey with confidence. We are always looking for ways in which to enrich our curriculum and offer opportunities to prepare children for later life.
Eton Porny has been a member of The Slough and East Berkshire Multi-Academy Trust (SEBMAT) since February 2016 and as such works in collaborative partnership with colleagues in Colnbrook Church of England Primary School and Slough and Eton Church of England Business and Enterprise College. We also work with local schools within The Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead.
I hope that our website gives you a taste of our school and that it encourages you to come and visit. We hold open sessions in September, October, November and January for prospective parents and would be very happy to show you around. Please check the school calendar or contact the school for details of these open sessions. If you would like to find out more, please do not hesitate to call us on 01753 861995 for an appointment to visit.
