Headteacher's Welcome
Welcome to Eton Porny Church of England First School
We are a small, one form entry state school for children aged 4 to 9 years old in the heart of Eton High Street. Our school is steeped in history,
starting with our founder Mark Anthony Porny in the 1800’s, and has been educating local children since 1812.
Our vision, values and aims are at the heart of, and thread through, every aspect of school life and ethos as a Church of England School. Our children come from diverse cultural and economic backgrounds, which we believe enriches our school community. In sympathy with ‘Valuing all God’s Children’ and ‘The Church of England’s Vision for Education’ we welcome all children, including those with different faiths and beliefs, and pride ourselves on being an inclusive school. We strive to provide the very best education and opportunities for all of our pupils to enable them to achieve a true reflection of their capabilities. We teach an engaging, knowledge rich curriculum which is enhanced by a range of trips and visits. We have built a safe, caring, enjoyable learning environment for all of our children and they relish being challenged in their learning.
Eton Porny is a member of The Slough and East Berkshire Multi-Academy Trust (SEBMAT) and works in partnership with the other schools in the academy.
We also work with local schools within The Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead.
The school actively welcomes the involvement of the local community and benefits from strong links with our parent community, our local church - St. John the Evangelist,
the Eton Community Association and a collaborative partnership with Eton College.
I hope that our website and our Twitter feed gives you a taste of our school and that it encourages you to come and visit. If you would like to find out more,
please do not hesitate to contact us on 01753 861995 or email the school office office@etonporny.com .
