The School Day

The start of the school day

The school day starts at 8.50am when all children are expected to be in class ready for registration.
The children will be greeted at the front gate by a member of school staff between 8:40am and 8:50am. They then independently make their way into school. 
Mrs Smith our home-school link worker is available at the start of everyday for our families too.

Break time

Reception class have free flow learning, inside and outside, throughout the morning.  All year groups have morning break time at 10.45am each day.

During morning break Reception Class and Key Stage One (Years 1 & 2) are provided with a piece of fruit or vegetable as part of the government’s free School Fruit and Vegetable Scheme (SFVS). Children in Key Stage 2 are welcome to also bring a piece of fruit or vegetable to eat at this time.

Key Stage One are also able to have a learning break in the afternoon if this is required.

Lunchtime

Reception have lunch at 11:30am until 12:30pm each day. For the rest of the school lunchtime starts at 12pm and runs until 1pm. During this time the children have an allocated time to eat their lunch and also time to get some fresh air, socialise with their peers and play with the playground equipment.

The end of the school day

At the end of the school day each class will make their way to the playground ready to be dismissed. Parents and carers are then allowed onto the playground to collect their child between and 3:20pm and 3:25pm. There are also a range of extra-curricular clubs that run afterschool. If children are attending an extra-curricular club a member of staff can take them to TOAST club after it has finished.
